Sugar Mountain, NC

Sugar Mountain, North Carolina is a mountain village in Avery County at around 5,236 ft, best known for Sugar Mountain Resort, one of the largest ski areas in the NC High Country. In winter the mountain becomes a snow sports hub with skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and ice skating, and in warmer months its slopes transform into summer activities like scenic lift rides, mountain biking, hiking, golf, and fall foliage views.
